How the Lahore rate is set

Lahore's bullion dealers follow the daily per-tola rate of the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, which tracks the international price and the dollar–rupee rate. Small local differences reflect demand and stock.

Where Lahore buys gold

The traditional jewellery bazaars of the Walled City, such as Sooha Bazaar, sit alongside showrooms in Liberty, Anarkali and the city's malls. Bridal sets in 21K and 22K are the biggest category.
